A couple of weeks ago I was in Utah visiting a very dear friend. One of the days we went through Provo Canyon and stopped to drink in its majesty. For those of you reading this blog and you have visited there you will know of what I speak. Blue, blue skies, puffy white clouds silhouetted by towering mountains. The enchantment for me was the pristine river flowing perfectly between it all and listening to its soothing melody, as if it was bringing me some sort of wisdom.
While I stood at the river bank I was reminded of a scripture in the Bible, “Be still and know that I am God.” These words never cease to calm me when I am the least bit worried or anxious. Sometimes as we wait on important answers for our families, ourselves or our friends we need to exercise patience as well. That beautiful day in Provo Canyon spoke to my soul so deeply. I knew I was drinking in beautiful surroundings so much bigger than you or I. I knew that if God could create all of this beauty he will answer our every prayer if we but wait on his timing.
Wishing you a beautiful week!
Love,
Ann
