I have found, it is the succession of hills we climb, that prepare us for the mountains in life.  The hills and valleys are the ups and downs in our lives, and are the teachers of inner strength and courage.  Over twenty years ago, I learned firsthand of these, and I still am learning. I learned that no matter what I had to face, there was always another helping of strength for me to draw upon. I learned to look at what was immediately in front of me, and not too far down the road. By doing this, the trials and challenges that seemed to keep coming, were less daunting and before I knew it, I had climbed another hill. Today, I feel like I am making my way up the mountain, and I can see all of those hills below me. I am grateful for that journey so many years ago, and for the loving hand of my Heavenly Father that held mine, every step of the way.
