“Summer’s lease hath all too short a date.” William Shakespeare said it best. As I write this post it is nearly the end of August, 2021, and I have already felt a wisp of Fall wash across my days. I will miss summer and all that she brings. It has been said that ‘ August is like the Sunday of Summer. ‘ It is now the time when August and September will be intersecting and we will be remembering our longer summer days and looking to a different, softer light and autumn’s happiness. A couple of weeks ago I was taking a walk on a quaint little beach and noticed three beach chairs placed together, unoccupied. It was a tender reminder to me that next summer I don’t want to miss an opportunity to sit in one of them with dear friends. Life is too short and so is summer. Let us cheer on our memories of summers past and look for that fallen leaf which is a wave good-bye.
Have a beautiful week!
Love,
Ann
