My mother gave me some very sage advice many years ago, before she passed away. She said, “I know you are very busy raising your family, but try your best to smell the roses each day.” Through the years since I lost her, I have come to know and hold dear to my heart, what she meant. Yes, it is about the pretty roses you see draping over quaint white picket fences, but it is also much more. It is taking the time each day to look for the beautiful “gifts” strewn along our path, and give thanks to God for them. We will often miss them if we are in too much of a hurry. In this new year of 2018, I am trying to watch for these gifts when each new day begins. Will you join me? I hope so! Continue a happy new year.
Cherish your moments,
Ann
