“It is not what happens for us, but most importantly…to us.”  Growing up I was fortunate to live in a neighborhood that was laden with beautiful oak trees. Their ever present energy and strength were a constant presence as I remember those years in my life. When the heavy winds came they were resilient and because of their deep, widespread roots, they were anchored in place. Year after year they never changed, even though so many things did around them. Over the years since moving away, I have reflected often of these majestic trees. They have been a reminder of the unwavering strength it takes to navigate through life. A great root system grows deep within these trees just as our values of love, courage, and hope run deep within us. Let us remember that the best in us will shine because of what has happened to us.

Have a beautiful week!

Love,

Ann
