Each Memorial Day I am reminded of the uncle I never met, as his airplane was shot down over the Indian Ocean during World War II.  Even though he died fighting for our country, I am so proud that he served so unselfishly.  As I look at our country’s beautiful  flag, it’s stars and stripes blowing in the wind, I am humbled at the unwavering bravery that has been dedicated by our armed services so that we, as a nation, are out of harm’s way.  On this remarkable day may the home of the brave live in our hearts and may no day we live be in vain.

Thank you Uncle Cliff and your band of brothers in Heaven….you set the bar high for all who have gone on to carry the torch for our country.
