I have come to know and to appreciate over the years, that trials are the metal that build our character, if we let them. None of us are immune to difficult times, some more life changing than others.  Many years ago, I learned important advice on how to survive a very challenging time, from a dear and wise friend.  He told me I could dissolve into the ashes of despair or rise up and go forward with everything in me to do the best I could.  I thankfully, chose the latter.  I also know that prayer is the stepping stone to God’s guiding light, patience, comfort, peace and eventual answers during such times.  When we come out the other side of our trials, we are better for them, and will have grown in ways we never thought possible.
